Stevie's Piano For Fun Website
Learning Piano with Joy and a Sense of Proportion
This website is a small project about playing the piano. It is still quite modest at the moment, but it will grow step by step.
The focus is not on big promises like “10,000 notes at once” or “learn piano in 30 days.” Instead, the idea is to look at pieces and exercises carefully in terms of how playable they really are.
This may include clear fingerings, short learning sections, simple visualizations, and practical hints exactly where they are needed.
It is not about self-promotion, but about creating a musical approach that stays motivating, clear, and enjoyable.
We will see what else comes along. The most important thing is that the fun factor should always remain.
With that in mind: enjoy discovering, practicing, and playing.
Impressions
The images shown here are not real photographs. They were created with the help of artificial intelligence.
They are not meant to depict specific people, places, or events. Instead, they are intended to capture moods and impressions: the joy of playing the piano, the beauty of the instrument, and the small special moments that music can create.
The focus is not on perfection, but on the pleasure of discovering, trying things out, and playing.
PLAY
This section is about actively playing musical pieces.
The focus is on short, manageable sections that can be practiced in a targeted way. Carefully worked-out fingerings play an important role, as they help build meaningful movements and make difficult passages easier to understand.
With a special music player, selected sections can be played in a loop — ideal for making individual passages more secure step by step.
This way, practice gradually turns into real playing.
LEARN
This section is about musical foundations that really help when playing.
These include scales, chords, basic harmony, and typical patterns that appear again and again in musical pieces. Some terms and names can be confusing at first — especially because music theory has grown historically and is not always named as logically as one might wish.
So this is not about dry theory, but about clear explanations, practical examples, and simple memory aids.
The goal is to recognize musical connections more easily and, as a result, to play more freely, more confidently, and with more enjoyment.
READ
This section is about stories around music.
It includes personal experiences that brought me closer to music, small motivational stories, and moments one can learn from — including mistakes, detours, and situations where things did not work out right away.
It is about experiences on stage, in the studio, during rehearsals, and in small private settings: places where music is not only explained or practiced, but really happens.
At the heart of it is the idea that music grows from experience — from joy, curiosity, trying things out, and sometimes from simple, unexpected moments.
